TL;DR

We have released Mg 0.4.0 in our site on a pay-as-you-like basis. The demo video is also available. We will present our plan in the upcoming INCOSE IW and see you there!

Happy New Year 2024!

This year would hold significant importance as it should mark the launch of SysMLv2, and we have been working to release the first public version of Mg to celebrate the New Year.

As some of you may already be aware, Mgnite has been actively contributing to the development of the SysMLv2 pilot implementation, with a primary focus on visualization using PlantUML. We have also been working on developing an integrated SysMLv2 modeling environment based on this pilot implementation, which allows our clients to use it in practical applications while benefiting from our consultation services. For instance, Nissan has successfully employed this tool to improve their productivity in high-level design of EV thermal management systems. With the goal of expanding our reach and impact to more clients and industries, we are now ready to share Mg with you on a pay-as-you-go basis for the time being. You can get Mg from our site right away!

Mg Architecture Overview

Mg offers a range of practical features that enhance the capabilities of the SysMLv2 pilot implementation, including autoloading, which enables modeling with multiple files, and an intelligent SysML editor integrated with just-in-time visualization.

In addition, Mg provides powerful tool integrations such as flexible rendering with Powerpoint shapes associated with model elements (MgP), generation and execution of MATLAB/Simulink models from SysMLv2 State-Space-Representations (MgS), and Excel querying capabilities for SysMLv2 models using Excel formulae (MgX). These features are all designed to provide flexible views and analysis with SysMLv2. I presented a demonstration of these capabilities in the OMG SE DSIG meeting last September, and the video has been uploaded

While we plan to release a stable version by following the completion of the standardization of SysMLv2, we would like to have opportunities to learn potential users and markets by releasing this preliminary version. We would like to provide more exciting features with continuous releases and will present our plan in the upcoming INCOSE IW 2024. Looking forward to seeing you there!
